Our Dusk Forest Wedding cake was featured on the cover of the international Cake Central Magazine!

For this design I created a new technique which replicates weathered wood with peeling paint.
It is entirely edible!
The old weathered window in the background is from an old South Carolina farmhouse built in 1914.
The tattered lace table cloth belonged to my husband's great grandmother.

Cake Central Magazine contacted me and asked me to design a wedding cake for their June 2010 issue. This is what I came up with after spending 4 days in the hospital with my husband after he had a heart attack. (He is doing very well now.) The urn is made of gingerbread, the peonies are gumpaste and the "stone" effect is created with fondant.

"Autumn Baskets"

Everything you see is handmade of sugar and completely edible!
The pumpkins are sculpted with rice krispie treats and decorated with fondant.
